Coaches for recreational and competitive programs

(5 to 17 years old, female and male)

The Laval Regional Basketball Association offers high-level recreational and competitive basketball to young Laval residents aged 5 to 17.


RESPONSIBILITIES: 


Under the authority of the technical director, the coach is responsible for the smooth running of the season for his team. He / she will also be entrusted with several mandates related to the achievement of the objectives established for the proper functioning of basketball education.


TASKS TO BE CARRIED OUT:


• Training 1 to 3-4 times a week for a team of around 12 players;
• Plan and supervise weekly training sessions
• Be present during matches and tournaments
• Participate in the various fundraising activities and activities offered by the ABL;
• Be present at ABL sports meetings;


REQUIRED QUALITIES : 


• Relevant experience;
• Impeccable sports ethics;
• Good knowledge of basketball
• Leadership;
• Put communication at the heart of its vision;
• Teamwork;
• Level 1 completed with the NCCP (or be registered within the first 3 months of hiring);
• Autonomy and resourcefulness;


HIRING DATE: Immediately

Civilian female coaches for female teams

(12 to 17 years old, female)

The Laval Regional Basketball Association offers young Laval residents aged 12 to 17 high-level competitive basketball. The Laval Nobels teams play in the Montreal Basketball League (MBL) and in the metropolitan basketball league (women), the
two of the most competitive leagues in the Montreal region.


RESPONSIBILITIES:

Under the authority of the technical director, the coach is responsible for the smooth running of the season for his team. The person will be entrusted with several mandates related to the achievement of the objectives established for the proper functioning of basketball education. 


TASKS TO BE CARRIED OUT:

​

• Training at least 3 times a week for a team of around 12 players;
• Plan and supervise weekly training sessions
• Be present during matches and tournaments
• Participate in the various fundraising activities and activities offered by the Association;
• Be present at sports meetings of the Association de Basket-ball de Laval;
• Collect the uniforms at the end of the season.
 


REQUIRED QUALITIES :

• Impeccable sports ethics;
• Good knowledge of basketball
• Leadership, autonomy and resourcefulness;
• Put communication at the heart of its vision;
• Teamwork;
• Level 1 completed with the NCCP (or be registered within the first 3 months of hiring);
• Relevant experience;
